I just came back from one of the most amazing wildlife and nature trips in my life so far. With a group of friends we visited Bialowieza forest in Eastern Poland by the border with Belarus. I initiated the organisation of the trip planning to also prepare a short documentary material about the current socio-political situation around the logging of the forest which has grown to an European scale. We have trekked the strict reserve of the national park and were hoping to see European bison, which this region is famous for as well as some large mammal predators. We have been extremely lucky to see an abundance of bison and we have spotted wolfs a couple of times. Unfortunately no lynx this time. I’ll be working on the documentary in the next few months going through all the footage from this absolutely magical place. For now here is a few shots of bison and not only.
